The original necklace made of faceted, coloured rubies in 14k yellow gold. This is a less usual version of the royal jewel, which is especially appealing for women with a love of boho style. According to legend, rubies have the ability to change negative energy into positive- making them an extra interesting stone in addition to them being suitable for everyday wear.

The necklace is handcrafted at the KLENOTA jewellery studio. We will deliver the jewellery to you in an elegant gift box along with a Certificate of Authenticity. For more information about the various types and lengths of necklaces, please refer to our guide.

    Jewellery from the KLENOTA ATELIER

Our atelier is located in the very heart of the Old Town of Prague, an area which has been the center of Czech goldsmithing and jewellery-making for centuries. The local atmosphere, traditions and history of this craft provide us with inspiration every single day. We build upon honest handcrafting and traditional methods when making jewels. The goldsmiths pay attention to every tiny detail in our workshop. We only work with high-quality materials from verified sources, so your jewels stay beautiful for a long time, even if they are worn every day. We understand selling a piece of jewellery is a lifelong commitment. You may purchase a present for someone close to you in our atelier or something special for yourself, but you will always get professional services for all KLENOTA jewels.

    Ruby jewellery

Rubies, together with sapphires and emeralds, are the so-called “big three gemstones”, i.e. the most popular red-blue-green trio among colourful gemstones. The ruby is a type of corundum and with regard to hardness, only the diamond is harder than the ruby. Its lustre stays shiny with minimal care, and it can even withstand swimming in the sea. However, it can be quite fragile. Therefore, you should protect it against pressure and temperature shocks.

COLOUR: Rubies occur in shades from pink to bright red. Corundums in light pink and all other non-red colours are categorized as sapphires. Natural gemstones are often treated with regard to their colour.

CUTRuby jewellery is most often decorated with gems that have traditional round or oval cuts. We recommend the latter mainly for rings. We can also come across other “fancy” shapes that are used, like marquises, hearts or teardrops (teardrops are great for pendants).

CARAT: The weight of a ruby, similarly to other gemstones, is expressed in carats (ct) to the second decimal place. 1 ct = 0.2 g. For earrings and jewellery with more than one ruby, we always state the total number of carats of all stones.
